Our Vision for the Future of Seedley and Langworthy

By Acting Together We Can Achieve Our Shared Vision

togetherWe are confident that by working together we can achieve our shared vision; to create the spirit and strength within isolated communities which has diminished through years of decline and deterioration; to build hope for the future, realised and sustained through actions which are tangible and real. Decent housing, a clean and safe environment, increased prosperity, skills and employment prospects will restore pride and confidence in a city where people will be proud to say they live, work and invest, and where they can build their future.

Our Aim and Objectives

We aim to make Seedley and Langworthy a great place for all community members to live, work and play. To achieve this we will help and support local authorities to:

  • promote the exercise of residents rights and maintenance and improvements of their local environment.
  • attract and invest funding in order to maintain and improve the local environment.
  • encourage those who live, work and play in the area to care and respect all sectors of the area.
  • promote facilities of recreation and support amenities and to encourage community spirit and pride.

We aim to pursue these objectives for the benefit of:

  • all those who live, work and play in the area now and in the future.
  • the local residents of Seedley & Langworthy and the wider Salford community.
  • changing the negative perception of the area.
  • Fundraising with the aim of improving the local environment for the residents of Seedley & Langworthy and the wider Salford community.
  • Building links with surrounding area.
  • Sharing good practice with other communities.
  • Striving to create a positive image and perception of the area.
  • Generating and implementing plans for the long term physical image of the area.
