School Projects

As part of the competition, the In Bloom Group has commissioned two local artists Lesley Holmes and Gail Skelly, to run a series of four day workshops in two local junior schools, Langworthy Road Primary School and Seedley primary School. The project undertaken this year is connected with ‘local roots’ and the children have been encouraged to create images of old Seedley and Langworthy. This fits well with this year’s Britain in Bloom theme.

Alongside the project ‘local roots’ theme we have created a competition for the children that revolves around our ‘quirky’ T-shirt logo of Bloomers. Two winners will be chosen from each school and they will be presented with a certificate, medal and a gift voucher. At Seedley School the children are involved in workshops which are about growing your own vegetables; they are currently doing this in their own little garden situated in the school grounds supported by Graham.
